Membership Privacy Terms

Cathay Financial Holdings and its subsidiaries, including Cathay Life Insurance, Cathay United Bank, Cathay Century Insurance, Cathay Securities, Cathay Venture, Cathay Securities Investment Trust (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Cathay Group”), jointly operate the “iMatch Recruiting Solutions” (hereinafter referred to as the “Recruitment Website”) for recruitment matters, and Cathay Group has formulated the “Membership Privacy Terms” (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”). To protect your rights and interests related to your personal data, please read the following content carefully:

1. Data Security of Personal Data

Without your consent, Cathay Group will not share your personal data with any third party that is not related to the services of the Recruitment Website. You should properly keep your account number and password used for accessing the Recruitment Website, and must not share the account number and password with others. After using the Recruitment Website’s services, please log out of your account. If you use someone else’s computer or a public computer, please remember to log out of your account and close the browser.

2. Collection, Processing, International Transmission, and Use of Personal Data

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and the relevant regulations, Cathay Group should clearly inform you of the following matters when collecting, processing, and using your personal data:
For the purpose of recruiting talent, human resource management, performing legal obligations, other laws and decrees, contentious or non-contentious cases, or arbitration, and handling other disputes (hereinafter referred to as the “Collection Purpose”), Cathay Group will collect your information such as name, gender, email address, phone number, academic degree, and preferred field of employment, as well as personal data required by relevant documents for the recruiting activity within the scope of the business, except for restrictions from relevant laws and regulations.
During the entire duration needed to serve the underlying purposes, the retention period prescribed by relevant provisions or necessary for business operations, the retention period prescribed by an individual contract, or the duration of your relevant rights and interests (e.g., access to personal data) (the longer period shall be applied), Cathay Group has the right to provide the collected personal data to Cathay Group and its affiliates, outsourced vendors that are entrusted by Cathay Group, or the financial supervisory authority and any authorized institutions which have rights according to the laws and regulations for the Collection Purpose, and any of the foregoing subjects may collect, process, internationally transmit, and use your personal data in any place, local or foreign, where the foregoing subjects are located through automatic machines or non-automatic methods that comply with the Personal Data Protection Act.
In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and during the period when Cathay Group retains your personal data, you may submit a request to Cathay Group’s Human Resources Department and exercise the following rights: (1) inquiring, reviewing, or requesting a copy of your personal data; however, Cathay Group may legally charge a necessary fee for the cost; (2) requesting to correct or supplement your personal data when reasonable explanations and facts are provided; (3) requesting to stop collecting, processing, or using your personal data in the event of a dispute regarding the accuracy of the personal data, excluding situations where Cathay Group needs to perform its duties or business, or situations where you have given written consent and the area of dispute has been remarked clearly; and (4) requesting to delete, stop processing or using your personal data when the Collection Purpose no longer exists, or the duration has expired, excluding situations where Cathay Group needs to perform its duties or business, or situations where you have given written consent.
You may decide whether or not to provide your complete personal data. If you choose not to provide your personal data, or you provide incomplete or incorrect information, or request to delete, stop collecting, processing, and using your personal data, Cathay Group will not be able to provide you with the services related to the Recruitment Website.

3. Data Security

In order to protect your privacy and security, your account is password protected. Cathay Group endeavors to protect your personal data with applicable techniques and procedures.

4. Methods of Data Inquiry or Correction

If you would like to inquire, review, supplement, correct, or delete your personal data, or ask Cathay Group to stop processing or using your personal data, you may use the FAQ function on the Recruitment Website to submit your questions or contact Cathay Group’s Human Resources Department. Once the request is made, relevant personnel will forthwith proceed with the request.

5. Cookie

The Recruitment Website uses cookies to improve user experience and deliver services tailored to your needs. A cookie is a small piece of data sent by a web server to communicate with your web browser. It may randomly store strings of words in your computer to identify and distinguish the user. You may not be able to log in to the website if cookies are disabled.

6. Amendments of Membership Privacy Terms

Cathay Group will amend the Terms from time to time to align with market conditions. If you have any questions about the Terms or matters related to personal data, you may use the FAQ function on the Recruitment Website to submit your questions or contact Cathay Group’s Human Resources Department.

7. Login Using an Account Registered with a Third-Party Service Provider/Application

(1) Purposes and types of personal data collected from third-party service providers/applications
If you register or log in to the Recruitment Website by using an account number that has been registered with and verified by a third party service provider/application (hereinafter referred to as the “Third Parties”, including but not limited to Google or LINE), this means that you acknowledge and agree that Cathay Group may collect your personal data from the Third Parties for the purpose of establishing the membership of the Recruitment Website and may process and use your personal data within the scope of the Collection Purpose as set out in Article 2 of the Terms. The types of personal data collected include but are not limited to your name, contact information, language preference settings, personal photos, and other personal data obtained from the Third Parties, and you have the right to modify your personal data.
Cathay Group does not own the password of the membership or account you have registered with the Third Parties, nor does it have control over or access to your account.

(2) Data security of your personal data collected from the Third Parties
Cathay Group will ensure the security of your personal data, such as name and email address, collected from the Third Parties in accordance with Article 3 of the Terms.

(3) Processing and use of your personal data collected from the Third Parties
Cathay Group will process and use your personal data collected from the Third Parties in accordance with the duration, region, target, and method as set out in Article 2 of the Terms.

(4) Exercise of rights and methods regarding your personal data collected from the Third Parties
You may exercise your rights regarding your personal data collected by Cathay Group from the Third Parties in accordance with Article 2 and Article 4 of the Terms.

8. Statement of Member Rights and Interests

To protect your rights and interests, please ensure that all the information provided is true and correct. You acknowledge that you shall bear legal liability for any falsehood contained in the information you have provided. You agree that Cathay Group may inquire your financial information from Joint Credit Information Center and National Credit Card Center of R.O.C. once you accept the job offer.
